I am an attorney-at-law at Advodan Aalborg A/S and Advodan Brønderslev, where I work with a wide range of both commercial and private legal matters.

I graduated as a jurist in 1985 and became a lawyer in 1988. In 1990, I was admitted to practice before the Court of Appeals, and in 1998, I was admitted to practice before the Supreme Court. I regularly appear in the Court of Appeals and occasionally in the Supreme Court.

My primary areas of practice include insolvency and estate administration, business transfers, generational succession, company formation, advising on the purchase and sale of project properties, divorce cases, wills, prenuptial agreements, as well as handling debt restructuring cases.

Additionally, I have specialized in the purchase and sale of real estate, including project acquisitions, assisting many buyers so they can move into their dream homes with peace of mind.

Since becoming a lawyer, I have been dedicated to providing my clients with high-quality legal advice in understandable language. Proper communication is incredibly important to me, regardless of the type of case, as effective communication can solve many problems.

Insolvency and Estate Administration

Since 1988, I have been a regular assistant at the Bankruptcy Court in Aalborg in liquidation and bankruptcy cases, giving me extensive experience in handling bankruptcy estates, reconstruction, and assisting in voluntary creditor arrangements, among other matters. Furthermore, I have extensive experience in conducting compulsory dissolution proceedings.

I am a member of the Danish Insolvency Lawyers and a certified insolvency lawyer. Since 1992, I have also been a regular assistant at the Bankruptcy Court in Aalborg for debt restructuring cases. I have significant experience in handling all types of debt restructuring cases, including more complicated cases after bankruptcy and agricultural cases involving pledged shareholder accounts, among others.

Given my many years of experience as an assistant in debt restructuring cases at the Bankruptcy Court in Aalborg and having handled a substantial number of cases, I am highly experienced in advising on the possibilities and conditions for initiating and completing debt restructuring. When handling debt restructuring cases as an assistant to the Bankruptcy Court and as an advisor prior to any application for debt restructuring, I am solution-oriented and can advise on whether the conditions for potential debt restructuring are met.

In 2007, I was authorized by the Ministry of Justice as an estate administrator at the Court in Aalborg, and in 2023, at the Court in Hjørring, where I handle a large number of estates each year, including estate administrator estates and private estates (private settlement, spousal inheritance, community property, marital property, etc.). I am a member of the Danish Inheritance Lawyers.

I am a member of Association of Danish Inheritance Lawyers.

Construction Projects and Real Estate

I specialize in advising on project acquisitions, including construction contracts and real estate, providing expertise and guidance on purchase/sale, property development, and property financing. This enables me to offer tailored advice that addresses the legal risks and opportunities associated with real estate transactions.

As part of my expertise in project acquisitions, I assist my clients throughout the construction project - from planning and development to implementation and completion. This includes contract negotiations, building permits, construction relationships, and risk management. With my combined knowledge and experience in project construction and real estate, I can offer my clients a comprehensive approach to their legal needs.

I help my clients navigate complex projects and real estate transactions, whether they are involved in developing new properties, buying/selling existing properties, or implementing major projects, providing tailored advice that meets their unique needs.

Commercial Law

I have broad and in-depth knowledge of commercial law, providing advice on company formation, business transfers, and generational succession. I help my clients establish companies in a legally correct and efficient manner through advice on corporate structure, drafting articles of association and incorporation documents, and establishing shareholder agreements.

Additionally, I assist my clients with business transfers and mergers. I handle the due diligence process, negotiate transfer agreements for purchases or sales, and ensure that all legal aspects are properly managed.

I focus on providing tailored advice and strategic solutions. My goal is to help my clients navigate complex legal issues and make well-considered decisions that protect their interests.

Conflict Mediation

In 2004, I was trained as a conflict mediator and use my training daily in my work to help my clients resolve conflicts.

Teaching/Lectures, etc.

Previously, I taught commercial law at Aalborg University for several years and have been a startup advisor for entrepreneurs for many years. I regularly give lectures, both for accountants, financial institutions, partners, clients, etc., on various topics, including project acquisitions, house construction contracts, the importance of shareholder agreements, inheritance/wills, enduring powers of attorney, etc.

Additionally, I serve as an examiner for the bar exam and as a censor for legal education in Denmark.

Networking

I am a member of several networking groups, including being a member of VL Group 110 in Aalborg.

Personal

Privately, I live in downtown Aalborg and am married to Per Henrik. We have two adult children and a dog, whom I enjoy spending time with. We travel a lot and also have a large network of good friends and family.
