About Trine
I graduated as a jurist in 2004 from the University of Copenhagen. I began my career in the social board secretariat in 2003, primarily focusing on services for children with disabilities. Having later had a child with a disability myself, I have closely followed developments in this area and over the years have given numerous presentations primarily concerning the dialectic between abstract rules and the concrete family situation.
In 2005, I was seconded to the Faroe Islands by the Prime Minister's Office, where I primarily worked in family law and the implementation of legislation.
In 2008, I was employed by the courts, stationed at the Court in the Faroe Islands. I remained there until 2018, interrupted only by a three-month period as a substitute judge at the Court in Aalborg in 2016. In 2018, I transferred to the Court in Aalborg, where I worked until August 2023.
During my time in the courts, I have dealt with virtually all areas of law, ranging from criminal to civil cases, estates, insolvency, and enforcement. I served as the head of the enforcement court for a total of 6 years and concurrently as secretary to the Faroese Compensation Board for Victims of Crimes for a period of 4 years.
As an assistant attorney at Advodan Aalborg, I am currently engaged in advising and managing tasks across a wider range of legal fields.
Personal
I live in Sæby with my three boys and Bernese Mountain Dog. I am a nature enthusiast and enjoy experiencing the world with a backpack. I have lived in Australia for 1½ years and in the Faroe Islands for 15 years, where my three boys were also born. My free time is primarily spent taking care of my children's interests, with the oldest having infantile autism.
